'Paradise
between the Mountains'
The traditional Spanish village of Parcent in
the Jalón Valley is located in a green
and rich landscape
with orchards in which
almonds, oranges and vines abound. In the words
of Gabriel Miró, who lived in the village and
whose house still provides a reminder of his
stay, Parcent is a 'Paradise between the
Mountains' and it was here that he wrote the
book entitled 'Del Vivir'.
Parcent provides access to the fertile ‘Pop
Valle’ and the economy of the village
essentially resides in the
growing of almonds, olives and oranges.
Throughout the spring the valleys are a sea of
pink and white blossom.
The famous traditional 'riu-raus' where the
raisins were dried can still be seen. Sun
shines for over 300 days of the year.
A charming location for a relaxing holiday,
perfect for family holidays. |

Mid August, not to be missed, the entire village
celebrates the feast of their patron saint, St
Lorenzo. Parcent is in the northern part of the
Costa Blanca, where quaint Spanish villages
still exist,
and is a perfect base
to explore the
area and numerous fiesta’s throughout the year.
The village of Parcent has numerous restaurants
to suit all tastes and budgets and all the
shopping you need for your holiday.

The local wines produced on the sunny slopes of
the
Jalón
Valley are well worth getting familiar
with. Despite their lack of global notoriety,
the wines from the area are absolutely delicious
and perfectly compliment the hearty local

well worth touring, especially when you consider
that this tiny vineyard supplies the Spanish
